Cash Flow Risk Mitigation

Sunshine Houseboats is experienced in the resort business but realizes that you may not be. In order to mitigate some of the risk of the variable cash flow of our seasonal business, Sunshine Houseboats will give an advance on charter revenue to investors. These payments are made in 6 equal instalments starting on June 30 and is based on the estimated return revenue for the current year.

Tax Advantages

Investing in houseboats is a positive return investment. There are also significant benefits for higher tax bracket purchasers. Interest and overhead expenses for the investment can be deducted from the income revenue. This combined with Capital Cost Allowance adjustments can eliminate any taxable income from the houseboat for many years. Depending upon your tax situation, there can also be significant income tax refunds when these deductions are utilized. These potential tax advantages will be the result of your comunication with and advice of your accountant.
